Northwest Market Association Fall 2017 Market

The Northwest Market Association (NMA) markets, showcasing shoe, apparel, lingerie, handbag, gift, jewelry,
accessory and children's lines, provide a one-stop shopping experience for over 475 Pacific Northwest retail stores
in the comfortable and attractive setting of the Embassy Suites Hilton Portland Washington Square in Tigard, Oregon.  Sales representatives also enjoy the convenience of working with new and existing customers without the added expense of traveling on the road.  The Embassy Suites’ amenities of a complimentary buffet breakfast and evening cocktails with snacks offer the opportunity to socialize with buyers and other reps in a more casual setting.

We receive feedback from both reps and buyers that this is one of their favorite shows in the United States.  There is
a true sense of community.  And, our show is well priced and consistently well attended by serious buyers.  JOIN US! 

Please submit a completed contract for the show (see below) along with the annual dues (if you have not already paid them) and show fees to the NMA address listed on the forms.  The contract consists of eight pages.  Be sure to review all forms, especially the show rules and regulations to avoid fees and fines. SHOWROOM SUITES.  Suites offer the advantage of a display area in the living room and a separate bedroom for sleeping.  Reps are able to meet privately with buyers in a relaxed setting.  The show fee is $140.00 and annual dues is $60.00, plus the cost of your room. Standard suites are $144.00 ($194.00 for a limited amount of premium suites) for the 2017 shows. NMA makes all room reservations on behalf of the exhibitor.  You will pay for the hotel upon arrival.

EQUIPMENT.  NMA provides its exhibitors with low-cost equipment for rooms/booths.  This consists of risers, tables, rolling racks, display lights and mannequins.   You will order this on your Exhibitor Application.

BOOTH SPACE.  Booths are located in all of the ballrooms at the hotel.  The cost is $275.00 for 10x10 square feet of exhibit space.  DUE TO THE LENGTHY WAITING LIST FOR BOOTH SPACE, NO BOOTH APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY BEING ACCEPTED.  However, please be aware that 230 of the 280 exhibitors at the event show in the suites.

TWO-DAY SHOW OPTION.   The shows take place for the buyers over a three-day period.  However, shoe exhibitors prefer to show only Saturday and Sunday, checking out Monday morning.  These reps will be assigned rooms on separate floors so not to disturb other exhibitors during move-out.  Show fees remain the same, but the exhibitor pays
for one less room night.

TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE EMBASSY SUITES.  For those reps flying into the Portland airport, Portland enjoys an excellent light rail system.  Simply board the MAX train for Beaverton (cost is approximately $4.00) and the Embassy Suites’ van will pick you up for free at the Beaverton transit station.  (Be sure to have their telephone number with you – (503) 644-4000.)  

TRANSPORTING OR SHIPPING TO AND FROM THE SHOW:  California reps needing assistance transporting their goods may contact Fashion Show Transport, which brings items to the show for a number of NMA exhibitors.  Contact Kathy Walker at 800-552-4623 or email her at: fsthangit@yahoo.com. If you are shipping your own products/materials to the show, THEY MAY ARRIVE NO EARLIER THAN THE MONDAY BEFORE THE SHOW.  Be sure that each box has this information on it:  Your name and room/booth number, Embassy Suites Portland-Washington Square, 9000 SW Washington Square Road, Tigard, OR   97223.  Also include:  For the NORTHWEST MARKET SHOW.  The hotel is not responsible for items not marked with this exact information.  For returning products/materials, call your preferred shipper and arrange for pick-up.  Prior to leaving the hotel, call the front desk to notify them of your scheduled pick-up.  Bills of lading are available at the front desk or print your labels online from your suite or the hotel’s business center.
